Didn't quite know where to post this , not Simcoe, Not GB , no t Kawartha's, we'll call it lake "DV"..

Went for a quick fish for anything that wanted to play , Loaded my m favorite maribou jig with a spring float set about 4' spotted an area with a good weed edge and fired my combo away, hit the water , staightened up and ..SUNK"

The pattern was almost text book , fire out jig , twitch , watch float go down ..Fishing from shore with my little buddy cooler , kept firing the keepers in there until no more would fit , then fished for fun ,..

Landed 26, kept 17 , good average size with a few slabs mixed in ...

If I said this took an hour it would be false ...fact 45 min ..

I may just go back , think maybe saw a slab about three pounds swim bye ..

Pix included, filleting done ..

Dave

Nice going Dave. Love the rod and reel combo - looks like it could tell some stories.

Got that right , There's a ton of fish out there that wish the Cardinal 3s had never been invented.
