Hi folks, i am heading to Sturgeon Bay Provincial Park tomorrow for a 3 day camping and fishing. Never been there before so i have no idea what i can catch in the bay and the connecting channels (i'll have a boat) this time of the year. I appreciate any advice from anglers who have experience with the area. I am not asking about hot spots of course, just general advice and techniques to avoid frustration. Thank you in advance.

There are lots of pike, bass, walleye and muskey there. Its kid of hit and miss. But if you so get one its going to be a nice one. I have been fishing up there for years now. You may also het into a gar pike. Try shallow bays spoons and spinners work best. Good luck. Hope to see sone pictures fron yout trip.

hey icecy i'm booked there sat to Tuesday, I go there every year @ least twice a summer for the last 10 years or so, awesome park you will love it, I also take my boat 15 ft aluminum 30 Yamaha and with my bow motor I catch lot of pike and bass in the bay, then just before dusk ill fish for walleye just out side the bay close to the islands on the left leaving the bay, and like ice said white spinner bait's for sure, for bass and pike, five of diamonds spoon is lethal for the pike !!!!!!! if you ask @ the front they have a map of the bay and the surrounding area for fishing spots and a few rock to look out for, passing through the first island on the left just stay to the right and you will be find it's marked, or keep going strait out to go around the island, I hope everyone has a great time I know you will, any more info let me know. did I mention the beach is unreal !!!!!!! that's another story have a great time
