ICE FISHING is not far off! Anyone have info as to what we are in for? Not finding much other than the almanac report, and even there I am hearing some conflicting predictions.
Here's hoping we get some good ice! It was nice going out for crappies last year in December.

You won't be finding much ice in perdition! Ice fishing ain't so popular down there!

I found a honey hole for jumbos and pike 5 mins from my place, produced very good this summer and if it freezes proper, I should have quite the spot to sit in the clam, getting excited!

Depending where you are, it's usually crappie and pike. What do people pull out of your lake during open water? If there are crappie in your lake, I would suggest getting out for early ice, finding the edge of the weed lines, set up a minnow tip up and work a micro-jig, should do good!
