Another tip is to let the hubs cool down before launching.Warm hubs/bearings will actually pull water into them. I've had it happen to me twice (10+ years ago now). I thought I'd done everything I could to protect the bearings on my trailer, but the mechanic I've been dealing with - along with a few others - have recommended letting things sit and chill out for 10 minutes or so. I use that time to prep the boat anyways...
