In summer these bass were near shoreline like 6~10 fow, and they were aggressive.
Now you have to be patient and fish slowly on next break line say 10 + fow.

Sounds more like a personal problem rather than a problem with the lake

I got a nice bucket full of jumbos last night in just over an hour. They are literally everywhere. Find the bait and you will find the fish. Want me to teach you how to tie a hook as well?

Last week, my buddy and I went for jumbos and "accidentally" came across an underwater city of largemouth and smallmouth bass!
Almost every other cast yielded a bite!
Maybe they all had sore mouths and weren't able to open up to take your bait or lures!
Sorry! Our bad!

LOL I love this forum. It takes a while to figure this beautiful lake out. But once you do it's all smiles. A week just might not do it. 😩

Really? What a joke now you want me to spend more money to try and catch a fish out of this lake. Already cost us too much money to rent and pay the stupid ramp fees to get our boats out not to mention the cost of minnows. Forget it. Waste of time and money

They are catching the Jumbo Perch in Simcoe. Don't go though as some days you don't find them. I would hate to have you go on my advise and get skunked. I would hate for you to be disappointed again and be angry about a days fishing and not catching.

BTW when did fishing become about only catching?

Go to a stocked pond and pay as you play. You might be happier.

its called fishing, not catching

i smell a skunk, and its in your attitude......not the lake.

Change your approach..... and you change the results....... same rules for fishing apply to getting help on a community forum....

Ahh come on guys, don't act like you've never been beaten down by Simcoe. spiderrig is just expressing the frustration we've all felt at one point or another. My advice is to burn some gas. They're out there somewhere. Fish fast till you find them, then slow down.... maybe.

I think you made your first mistake by complaining and calling BS on what others has caught in this lake just because you couldn't catch anything. 2nd you're complaining about spending too much money but yet you could afford to have a boat. Those that has got this lake dialed in has spent more than you could've imagine. Fishing doesn't come cheap and skunk days are the norm. Noticing how frustrated you are I think you need to look at what you're doing first before complaining in hopes that someone will give up their secret. Even if they did the question is would you be able to catch any fishes? I'm sure had you wrote your post differently you would get a lot of helpful tips. But yeah, who am I to say this since I am just a fisherman without a boat and would probably be in the same boat as you but I wouldn't complain cause this is fishing for you!
