the Dbfish and Warner connection.

congratulations guys on a very close win but a win none the less.
the top 3 boats were with in 2 inches away from each other and so it was the fishing equivalent of a photo finish.
we had 8 boats make it out and unfortunately for muskyaaron him and his pops came there just after we blasted off and missed us.
seemed like they had a good day though as every time i passed them they seemed to be reeling in a big one.

the launch that we were kind of worried about turned out to work out just perfectly. we all fit no problem, and the one at a time launch ended up being a perfect set up for anticipation.
aside from my boat trying to start by it self in the morning while the key was in my hand, i think everything went rather smoothly. in fact i don't know about these guys but i think I'm going to need one more of these pike tournaments before BASS season.who's in?

i will not post one of my FULL reports that I'm known for as its late, I'm tired and most importantly i didn't win hahaha but i think the few pictures we took will tell it all.
we took very little pictures to try and make sure that the fish were released back into the water as quickly as possible.

standings.
big fish went to mackfisher aka matt fishing (inside joke) 28.5"

1 Dbfish and Warner 74.5"
2 mackfisher and his father 72.5
3 Seb 72.5" (tie for 2nd so bigger fish decided)
4 putaforkinya and pitchnflip 66.5"
5 Mike D (solo) 64"
6 beers and son 46"
7 Hart10 21"
8 dreamer and ZuperAlexu(fished without hooks to protect the fish ;-) )

Dbfish and I had a great time today. The secret lure produced all of our fish. Db and I had never fished together before so it was a great way to meet a new fishing partner as well as putting a bunch of faces to the names on here. Great to see everyone out today, we certainly couldn't have asked for nicer weather (as I am sitting here sunburnt to all hell). I/Db would certainly be interested in another tourney before bass opener. Moon River Basin anyone?

Congrats Db and Warner! I did silently have my money on that team. Seeing that Db was on a vengeance after the fish gods held him off the ice at the end of hard water season.

Ben thanx for teaming up with me today, was a pleasure to have you on board. Was an awsome day from the first cast, literally lol! When I banged that first pike in the first 30 seconds!! You certainly had mastered the teqnique by days end with our secret spoon!! I would have walked away happy today even with a 9 th place finish, as long as someone we both know had came in 10 th lmao.Thanx again to all the participants, was a great day amongst friends.

Was a great day! Thanks Matt!!! I know if i had a partner there would have been more fish in the boat; my biggest actually got back out of the boat after I got the hook out (at the same moment a cottager on land started playing "20 questions" after he seen me land a few so I got a bit distracted ) I don't think I can do another tourney until Koon but I hope you all have a blast. I am still trying to figure out how Mackfisher and his pops fished out of that little ski boat!!!!
