Not a bad weekend of fishing on Kash. 2 1.5 lb smallmouths and 1 2.5 pounder were the biggest bass. The weeds have grown a lot in the past month and a couple of my favourite spots for largemouth were practically unfishable. Thats why I love fishing though, I was forced to explore and I ended up finding a couple great new spots. My girlfriend landed the 2.5 pounder around 8am but most of the other nice size fish were caught around mid day. The lake wasnt too busy with boaters and fishermen, just a couple guys trolling around for musky.

Good luck! I've only landed one walleye this year, havent targeted them much but I will be doing more of it for sure. Where on the lake do you go for lakers? The south end?

I usually fish the north end of Lake. Finding that in front of my cottage is very good location. Has structure and I've caught fish there. Rest of Lake is more challenging. Grass lake has also been ok.
I only get 1 week in summer at cottage and this will be only second summer.

Good luck bluenote!
I havent put any time in hunting for lakers on Kash, I know the south end is the deeper part of the lake, furthest from the town of Haliburton. I assume thats where all the lakers are.
My cottage is near the town by the channel into Grass. Theres good musky, walleye, and bass fishing there. Ive been catching more and more crappie this year too.
