well got out for a solo trip yesterday. had to work at it for 3hrs, with only 4 and 2 of those were questionable keepers. At 10am decided it was time to head home so I turned boat and trolled for the ramp. By 1030 I had 11, so managed to release the 2 questionable ones and fill my limit. All fish were donated to farmer to have a family meal. Was really windy but it was an off shore wind so wasn't real rough. Went out week ago with opposite wind and waves were 4 to 6ft and we got nothing.

yes I like them from 16 to 20" to eat. We do have a good fishery, starts in the Detroit R in April, then St Clair R, then Lake St Clair south shore for another week or so, then switch to Lake Erie out of Leamington then Erieau in July. After that you actually have to work for them. There always seems to be a spot to catch walleye.
