crazy day today went 2for 10 today. couldnt get a fish in the net today. first one came on a meat rig it inhaled the treble had to keep it.lost three more on meat rig then switched to spoons.lost a couple good ones then got broke off by a large salmon that broke the surface three times beside the boat before it broke me off. more spoon bites before i finally landed another. fish seemed to be very active today and very erratic in their behavior . fun but very frustrating. got a new camera not a phone picture not very good.

Sounds like an exciting day. At least you know you’re doing something right getting that many hits in a day. I’ve had plenty of days with 3 or 4 people in the boat with plenty less action than that

Good stuff Grampa! You run meat behind a flasher or clean? I used to get occational fish on flasher / fly in OS area but last few years was mostly spoon bite for me

congrats! Sounds like you are on some fish lately. Im hearing of some solid reports. Are you entering my tournament this year? If you are getting a lot of missed strikes Grampa then bump up the speed. The fish are clearly agressive and hitting agressively likely from the side. They sometimes do that to stun the bait fish before following up. Try 3-4mph at the ball or surface and switch to spoons that are heavier or speed tolerant, Moonshine, Warrior, Gripper, even NK mags or Mag dreameaver spoons will do the trick.

Likely will be a private marina that a number of fishing boats are docked at. Unfortunately the owner wont allow public launching. So it likely wont be availbale to the general public. Going to meet with the owner again but for now the other 3 locations will have to do. Hope you understand

When using meat rigs i like to set the hooks a few times after the initial hook set just to drive that hook a bit deeper salmon have extremely hard mouths and they only get harder as the season goes on good job on your solo missions
