You were right, a very good read, enjoyed the video as well. I do not fish for any kind of trout or salmon in rivers ever. But watching that video gave me some ideas for my slip bobber fishing crappie and walleye, and maybe even pike. Thank you for posting that, I learned something new.

I hadn't heard of those yarnies before so I Googled them. There was lots of instruction re tying them. seemed doable w/o fancy gear or a lot of skill. But today I was in the $ store and saw these. Why bother tying. Might buy some and give them a try thru the ice for lakers. Whaddya think?
