First of all i want to say the weatherman lied again. A day that was to supposed to be flat calm greeted us with some big rollers from the west.We were uncomfortable running to the spot we were headed so we stopped droppped line were we where and put a 14 lb salmon in the boat after about half an hour. trolled for afew hours caught 2 decent lakers that actually put up a fight, could have got lakers all day but moved a few times untill the end of the day thinking about packing it in Daves rod fires 10 lb salmon great way to end the day. Fish are starting to show up its been a slow start to the salmon season this year , I know of others that did ok today as well, hope it gets better from here. Dan

Right on about the lakers, once you find those greedy buggers you could almost fill your boat , huge guts full of bait fish and they still hit a 7" spoon, I,m hoping their gorging on bait fish doesnt limit feed for our salmon...mark my words ...these guys are going to hit over 30 lbs...we,ll never get em off the bottom lol..
