Modern iPhones (including the 16 series) capture photos in HEIF (High Efficiency Image File) format by default. Many older or standard web forums do not support the .heic extension or the underlying codec. A screenshot, conversely, is typically saved as a .png or .jpg, which are universally accepted.
Reducing the size and/or converting the file to smaller or .png/.jpg format should fix it. You can also change the setting on the phone to permanently make your pics 'more friendly' and smaller in sizes to avoid future problems like this.

Thanks for answering this. That is correct, the forum does not support heic format. I am not sure at this time how to add support for this image format. Would require some brain power and time. Both of which is in limited supply these days.

Well I am in the same boat. I have no idea how to convert a picture on my phone to jpeg. I don’t use a computer for this site or I am sure I could do it.
