Well 1st day it was going to be a nice day in weeks it felt like. Going to meet buddy at ramp. Get there a bit early as I allowed for the heavy fog. He texts say he really sick so can't make it. Launch boat and head out on to small rive to head for SCR. It so foggy can't see either shore if in middle of small river. Manage to get to big river stay close to shore which is where I want to fish anyway about 1/2 mile up. Vertical jig back down a couple times and fog lifts, so decide to go up further and fog comes back, can't see shore now and go past where I want to fish so go way up. Fish up there till fog clears and get a nice 18" male walleye. Go back to where I wanted to go the first time, meet buddy in his boat, he has 1, we watch a few fish boated and start fishing again. I fished till 1130 and only got the 1. Buddy in his boat got 3 more in the next hour, guess I should have stayed. Any was great to be back on the water again, boat ran great.
