So far so good with a shakey start. I lost my first 4 walleye right at the net. I was getting so frustrated and then lost a monster crappie almost went back to the house. Then it cooled down and so did I after telling myself that its just fishing. Many many fish biggest rock bass ever 13 inches. Monster crappies some nice walleye small bass and many more rock bass. Lost a few more big walleye but they were to big to keep anyway I was on sturgeon. I guess I am out of practice a bit. It got so foggy you did not see the fish until it was almost in. Here is a few of my usual terrible pictures5

Glad that you're back. It must mean that there's a lot of good news with your much better half. And it's good to see the fish pics from you again!!
Yes she is doing better. Slow but good progress. Thank you Lionel. She is at the house with the family. My job is to catch more fish they are eating it up already. This is first fish fry since june. Next I go after bass the family loves bass. After dark its back to crappie and walleye. And lots of rock bass as usual. At least I dont get bored in between waiting for the fish I am targeting. Rock bass everywhere.

Sorry did not have time to get to balsam. The conditions were perfect for where we fish on sturgeon. Have not had four nights in a row of a good fishing adventure in quite sometime. Got soaked a few times but maybe thats what woke up the fish. I will try and get over to balsam. What I really need is a strong east wind on balsam that is when the most fish are in the spots. For example when there is a strong east wind stay close to shore and fish the line where the flat water stops and the waves start. The trees make a great wind break and I find the fish sit just where you can see the line in the water that runs north and south. You can forget about weed lines in a strong wind on balsam just cast half the depth of what is under you. Good luck. Watch out for the rocks. Stay safe.
