Always vigilant to keep ball from catching bottom when trolling, afraid to lose it or a downrigger etc. So when it comes to being on the bottom for those lakers how do you troll on bottom safety……using the spin-n-glo’s….
Do you bounce the ball? Or stay 5 to 10 ft above bottom?

No closer than 5 feet from bottom and set the clutch on the downrigger to just hold the weight of the ball. That way if it gets hung up, the cable will start letting out and you can catch it. I have a couple of crappy stories where it didn't!
