I don’t mean to hijack this thread but I just have to prove I am not ALWAYS out-fished by my wife. We went out a couple hours this evening and got 26 walleye between us, including 3 keepers all between 19 and 21 inches. I managed to out do her tonight but just barely. Kept a couple this time for a fish dinner with company this week It’s hard to believe some people feel there are no keepers in the lake. We got 5 in the in our last two outings.
Absolutely Zzz. From what I'm seeing...you're seeing...and I'm hearing consistently from the regular everyday fishing community, camp operators and guiding group on the south shore...there is a very healthy, thriving and successfully reproducing population of good sized walleye in the lake. Adjusting to the conditions and targeting areas that should hold bigger fish, is one of the keys to seeing success on numbers of better fish. I actually promote my wife's belief that she regularly out fishes me...that way she can't wait to get out fishing and squash me again. All hail our female fishing companions

Grumpa- I really like your way of thinking. Makes perfect sense to promote Mrs Zzz’s angling superiority, just to get out fishing more often. Only danger is if they read our posts and catch on to us !

great read gents and I so agree about getting the better half out even though it is not on Nipissing
Last time I took my wife out for an evening of topwater bass fishing
Cast 1...she nails a 4.5
Cast 2 she gets another just a hair bigger
Cast 3......well we were back at the cottage having a nice beverage
