ATV Winter Storage

I'm hoping someone here can steer me in the right direction. I need to find somewhere to store/winterize my ATV. My camp is out in Bonfield so anywhere from NB to Mattawa works. Ideally I'd like to find an indoor storage facility or at least have it shrink wrapped if it's outdoor storage. Any ideas?

So I assume from the total lack of response that there's no business in the area that does winter storage?

All I could come up with was try a marina with indoor storage. Not sure if they can do the winterizing though. I know of at least one marina that is on here from time to time and if they provided that service I am sure they would have piped in.

Perhaps you can call some of the ATV shops in the area. They might be able to direct you to someone that does what you are looking for.

Could also rent a mini storage room but that would be expensive.

I have not heard of anyone up here doing what you are asking for. I believe most just take care of their own equipment. A lot of folks use in the winter as well.

Google storage units around North Bay

I don't know of anyone who winterizes their ATV, they are designed to run year around. I would just make sure that there is anti-freeze in the rad and not water to be safe. ATV covers are sold at Canadian Tire, Princess Auto, Royal Distributing, I would just pick up one there rather than shrink wrapping then you could use it year round.

I've pretty much tried everything you mentioned. My problem is my camp isn't winter accessible and I don't have a shed to fit it in, so leaving my ATV there doesn't work. I figured a local boat storage facility would also do an ATV but google has come up empty. I really don't want ot drag it back to Toronto but it's looking like I may have to.

I have a cover for it. I'm just worried about leaving it outside for the winter. Once the snow hits I wouldn't be able to access it till spring. I'm just worried about it sitting all winter in 4' of snow.

They are building a new mini storage unit in Restoule if that works for you . There are different sized ones for what ever you need to store , don't have a phone # .Maybe someone from there can get you one .

I can understand why you wouldn't want to leave it outside at your camp all winter with no way to get into the camp, local public storage might be an option.

Try calling Hunters Bay Marine. They have boat storage for the winter. 705-752-3666

I'm sure there's a few board members in the area that wouldn't mind storing it for you. As long as you leave them the key and pay no attention to the odometer!
