I decided to try something a little bit different yesterday and it paid off! Instead of using a single swimbait I tied them in tandem, giving it a “schooling look” and they crushed it. The key was really keeping the baits moving fast and not giving them a chance to see what it was. I was cursing at 3km/h with an extremely long line behind the kayak. They baits weren’t on the bottom which meant that when a fish came for up it they had already decided they were going to eat it...and they would crushed them. I thought a few of them were lakers.

I was using a combo of Jackall Rhythm Wave and BPS speed shad swimbaits and the colour didn’t seem to matter. They are really starting to stack up in certain spots and I can't wait to get back out there.

Some real beasts there, well done! From your pics it looks like they were all hitting on the bottom jig, was this the case? Can't imagine how fun a double header of those beasts would be on the one rod

Now that's an innovative way to fish. Good on you for coming up with that idea and it surely paid off.

Hope you have the same success on your next fishing trip

I did get one on the "front" bait but the rest were on the back bait.

I haven't but it would be harder to fish from a Kayak then this rig.
