Removal of as much debris as possible is a big help to lake property owners and boaters.
We're all stewards of the lake....let's treat the resource with the proper respect. Those of us that reside on and use the lake all seasonal long....thank you for your due deligence with hard water debris removal.

I think this year is going to be particularly hard for a lot of people.I just hope it does not reflect on the ice fishing season in general and give reasons against it as some have suggested in the past.

The wording on that almost sounds like a Red Green psa... Just need a reference to duct tape and I can almost hear him saying it himself

just took my shack off the lake in Calendar Bay. Used my F150 and the first half km no problems, then we ran into deep slush, then good ice and then deep slush, this went on for about 2 kms. We went out last week and jacked our shack to make sure it was well out of the ice, however someone must have forgot their blocks and decided that mine were a good grab as they were gone when I got there, so I had to chip ice for about 20 minutes, but I hope they got good use out of them.

Towing shack back was slow going, gave my truck a great workout.

Some poor guys shack fell apart close to the landing and there is now debris and nails and glass, I hope he is able to get it cleaned up before others try to drive in that area as having a flat out there would make things impossible.

Good luck everyone, it is not nice out there!

Yup I pulled 2 off yesterday and it was brutal. I said to the Wife I remember now why I bought a portable.

Saw a bunch out there really frozen in still.

Good luck.

I took mine off the 10th, I did not want to risk the slush, especially with all the snow we had this year. Lot of slush around my shack this year.

It was smooth sailing to the launch at Sunset Point and I am happy I did since we had all that rain a few days later it must have been brutal for people pulling their shacks off this weekend!

NorthernCat you were a smart man.

Still lots of shacks out there as of today. Long range weather appears like milder temperatures in the single digits both negative and positive on on the menu for the next few days.

Bags of sh*t left on the ice?
Pity the fool who doesn't know any better.
Its like he thinks its his lake to do with as he pleases.
Backward thinking from a backward clown.
I hope he is caught with his own filth.

Ya moved my to the landing at Amelia Park a week before the season closed. I did not want to deal with the slush for sure.

From what I heard and saw on the lake. There are a lot of huts that are frozen in bad. Too many people not taking that extra time to go out and jack huts up.

And I know MNR has been out recording hut numbers already so best to work at getting them off. If not be ready for the charges to fly.

Pulled mine off on Saturday. The lake is great for driving right now.

Had 1 inch of clearance on Tuesday, skis were a half inch frozen in when I took it off. Was easy to pop it out with a jack.

The poor fellas nearby were carrying parts of their shack off the lake. Whole thing frozen in solid. Right near the Callander Bay government launch.

Not good for anybody...the environment, property owners, boaters and the hut owners.

Here's hoping that a couple months from now we see another announcement of individuals identified and charges laid.
