Going camping there for 10 days next week. Just wondering how fishing has been and would the temps be similar to port Severn area? Im hoping for some walleye but I’ll be happy with pike too.

Bob Izumi has a good video fishing up in Georgian bay on YouTube, he stayed at a resort just north of point au baril

For me the fishing was hit and miss. There are so many places to fish and I found only a few spots that held lots. I got a few walleye outside the slot and a few more in it. I had 1 pike over 40” and another 34” and crazy number of small ones. We caught a few crappie and a catfish. One day I was fishing pike and casting to the shore in a bay, I looked over my shoulder to see a Muskie about 6’ long and girthy staring at me. It was 2’ under the water and about 10-15’ back and it was watching me. Crazy highlight for me. We saw 2 bears combing the shores of a back bay we were in too. I never did swim here lol. With the water being down about 2’ navigation was crappy. I need a new prop and skag repair. Anyone know of a good place to get the skag fixed? About 2-3” ripped off

The record Muskie length is 72.04” I’ll wait until fall to go back there. Hopefully have pics this time. I videoed it with my phone the next day when it visited me again but the video didn’t capture it like my polarized glasses did

Too bad the video didn't turn out. Post it up anyhow, I'm sure a bunch of us would love to see it.

record muskie only 72+. I have seen them in LSC that sure look that long when they swim by with my walleye in their mouth crossways.

Only? A 70in muskie out of Gbay would be over 100lbs.. The problem here is people's estimation of length, lol.
