Got to the cottage around 730 Friday and started fishing right away. Was targeting pike this weekend so started with some jerk baits and spinners to no avail. Switched to a jitterbug and first cast pulled in a decent sized pike. From there in the next 30 mins probably pulled in 4 more and lost one. Also got a decent sized largie and obviously put her back right away. The next morning the madness continued. Water was dead still so through on a xrap popper and the pike continued to hammer them all day. Funny thing was we never caught anything from the boat. All fish were caught from our dock and beach. The only thing they would hit would be top water. Didnít mater what kind of top water lure. What a weekend. Probably landed close to 20 fish all weekend. All fish were released.
