Hey guys Iím heading up this weekend with a group of newbies and want to make sure they have a good first ice fishing experience. I was just wondering if anyone is driving their trucks/SUVís out there or if itís limited to atvís and snowmobiles. Thanks

Is there a main road that is plowed and the people that are getting stuck the ones who arenít sticking to the road?

Lots of trucks and cars on the ice. We were up there this past weekend. We took a plowed road area on the ice. If you don't, you could get stuck because the hard snow is about 1-1.5 feet thick

Could an ATV stray from the plowed road and not get stuck?

If you have tracks no problem. If you stay on top of the crust, no problem. If you go through the crust, start stretching!
