And to people who ice fish with their sonar, please turn that side imaging OFF will you. Can pick-up the damn noise from miles away....lol

But side imaging is a great way to put the run to someone that has decided to fish to close to you.

have to try that, put the transducer on a rotating beacon motor under water.

I have to go with the sonar, but not just because of how it sees the fish. I set it up on the front of the ATV to navigate to my favourite waypoints. Any electronics I can use for multiple applications is a bonus for me.

I prefer the flasher I am not sure why I just like the feel and look of a flasher. Both units have there ups and downs though I guess it's all personal preference

Have a gamin Stryker 4 ice bundle it has a flasher setting but I find I use the sonar most of the time.
