I might be the closest to Greece, I'm from Southern Italy.

Southern Italy was part of Greece at one time.

I am also Roman, so maybe my Gods can help... Lol

Whatever the weather, I am sure it will be a good time like always

Hey Ralph; Please don't get up tight with your assignment , how hard can it be to bring good weather for the 23rd ??

Look at it this way ...If we get good weather you're a hero

If we don't ... Hey it's a family show , Now how could 70 guys armed with fishing rods compose a threat to anyone ??

I'm not sure how good an idea this is?

We would then have 2 sets of gods involved.

I don't know enough about mythology to know if the Greek and Roman gods got along?

For all I Know, this could result in a "GOD WAR"!

If the Gods are fighting, this probably wouldn't be good for the weather.

Probably need some input here from "BURNZY, he seemed to be up on ancient mythology.

BURNZY---Where are you? I need your input on the mythology!

Long range forecast for the 23rd, now shows snow flurries.

WOW, right now forecast for the 23rd is Sunny and -2C. Couldn't get much better.

Maybe the combination of Greek and Roman GODS is working.

I'll have to think if there is a way to even improve on that.

Still looking for input from BURNZY!

Burnzy has been fishing, any reports of me running through a labyrinth are greatly exaggerated. Although I'm pretty sure a Minotaur on a sled buzzed my hut on Monday. Stupid half bull came within 10'

Long range forecast now shows, flurries, 0 degrees and light winds. Still looking good.

I'll put my thinking cap on and see if I can come up with some more ideas to improve our odds and give the Greek and Roman Gods some help.

Up to now, I have only been looking at the long range forecast on The Weather Network, which I consider as the least reliable weather forecast source.

They are now saying light snow and temp around 0C for the 23rd. I now looked at Accu-Weather and Wind Finder and there is no real concensus between the 3 of them, except that it should not be too cold and winds will be light. Still good news!

Our Greek and Roman gods seem to be working in our favor, but I'm wondering if we can hedge our bets even more.

What about our members of Indigenous Heritage? Can you bring a tradition to bear to add some favorable influence?

I'm pretty sure there was a "rain dance", but that's not what we want. Is there a "good weather or "sun dance"?

I shall have to do some research, but those of you from the Indigenous Community, please let me have your input.

I can say with certainty that there is a Sundance Canyon near Banff. I've been there. Therefore, I have always assumed there is a Sundance.

Yes Gord, there is a "Sundance". I've done some research and it seems that it was a tradition of the Plains Indians. Couldn't find anything to indicate it was/is done in this part of the country.

Perhaps some of our Indigenous members can provide some info on this?

Checked 3 weather sites and here are the forecasts:

The Weather Network-scattered flurries-temp -2C
Accu-weather-snow showers-temp +1C
Wind Finder-cloudy-temp -2C

It looks like the temps will be OK, but still not sure about snow.

I also checked SailFlow, but their long range forecast only goes out 5 days.

Overall, things are not looking too bad, but we can still use all the influence we can get to impact on the weather.

I promise to lead a "good and clean" life between now and the 23rd.

What about you?

Well things are still looking good.

Haven't heard anything from anyone of Greek or Indigenous heritage, but so far Metalbuckle and his Roman gods seem to be doing a good job.

Checked 3 weather sites again this morning for Feb. 23:

The Weather Network--sun & cloud +1C
AccuWeather-- snow showers +2C
Wind Finder-- sun & cloud -1C

Reasonably light winds on all of them.

Come on folks, sign up for the M & G and keep thinking positive thoughts.
