99% of the vehicles that go through do so in a crack.

It’s people that Venture all over, without paying attention to stay near the ice road, or watch out for the pressure cracks on the ice.

pressure cracks can take everything. walkers/snowmachines/vehicles unless you stop and check them out

been driving on ice 2x this year and no issues....won't go on till 14 inches plus some additional checks

good year for ice. other years not

To each his own....can't do the treks anymore

ive been driving my vehicle for over 20 years on the lake without a problem...i follow 2 simple rules...dont go out until there is a solid 14" and never ever cross cracks...follow these 2 rules and you will ever ever have a problem...oh,and always have a shovel

X2....I just put up a post and did not see yours......virtually said the same thing

Some of these folks were not around when we used to do convoys out to

I was around then but haven't yet got out to SLYVILLE yet.
Getting good ice to out there has been a problem.

I used to drive on lakes in my truck all the time once I knew ice was good twenty years ago... problem though now is we don’t get consistent cold winters, lots of freeze thaw wind etc and ice conditions just aren’t the same...

Ask yourself this remember when you used to need an extension on your auger cuz ice was over 32” thick and everyonedrove on the ice...

When was the last time we needed an extension on augers hence why I don’t driveon it anymore with any thingbigger than my side by sideorsled my next ice fishn rig will be a tracked Argo.

Ps my dad after 60 years icefishn put his ATV thru simcoe coming back in mid day from fishing.. it happen be safe

I remember SLYVILLE......and I remember Sly too..R.I.P........he was a nice guy.

It was a loooooong way out ....so I took my snowmobile...but the fishing was good and yes many guys were out there.

I prefer the taste of jumbo perch over whitefish now days, so I'm staying a little closer

Yes the good old days.....

Yesterday and today I saw a car drive out to a permy….in the north end....Had a conservation officer with me yesterday when the fool drove out.....said to the CO....check out this idiot.....the officer said I can think of more descriptive language to describe him......lmao...….so today yup he did it again and is obviously a local.....hard to believe......and yes he has to cross a pressure crack to get to his hut.

Maybe the drivers are on the same medication.
