Went out with a few buddies in search of some Whitefish and maybe the odd Lakers / Perch. We concentrated shallow (Less than 43 ft). Moved around a bunch and finally found some fish.

Water clarity was 15 ft. at best. Fish that came in were aggressive and behaved in ways I have never seen then before, but they did bite and that was nice.

Was not planning on keeping fish today as I was lazy and did not want to clean them, but decided to when one took my lure deep and ended up in its gills (not going to survive).

While I was cleaning them I check out what was in their stomach and was pretty cool, but slightly creep at the same time. Time that pass from when caught and cleaned was approx. 6 hours.

Options: Scuds - Fresh Water Shrimp - Red Worm Larvae.

My bet is "SCUDS" - http://lifeinfreshwater.net/scuds-gammaridae/

Scuds. Olive scuds. Fish candy.

Steelhead are another species that love scuds.

Very interesting. That area you fished was probably in an area of weeds. All the white fish I have caught this year are exclusively full of gobies.

i believe they are freshwater shrimp...if thats what scuds are....

jumbos love those things,,,ive never seen them in whities, but its a food source so im sure they take full advantage....they probably just engulf them like a whale does with krill

you can get them at aquarium stores

Put them in a pill bottle and in the fridge with water. Tip your perch bait with them like a maggot

Yup, I've got some of those too last year, and was as surprised...lol
