We were out last weekend and there were a few black flies at the Marina. Out on the water there were none.

I am heading out again today for the long weekend. I expect more black fly action but expect it to be ok on the water.

I am at the mouth of the French.

Happy fishing.

They started last weekend. Enough of them in some spots, none in others.
Neighbours had them, we didn't. Fished off shore Sat. night.. no bugs. They found me Sun. out on the water.

Very sporadic.

I'm about 5 miles from South Bay sitting at bear bait right now. Flies aren't too bad seems to be more mosquitoes. They are quite thick right now. Thank god for thermacell.
