I took my son out today for a bit of fun in a local creek. Not super far from Simcoe but far enough.

I havenít seen these little beautiful Green Sunfish often but love them when I do find them.

I donít know why tropical fish are so sought after when we have amazing Sunfish Species in our back yard.

The joy of catching a Chub. This is what we lose in our old age. Falling I. The creek just before catching it was a right of passage.

Some similarities but no it's a green sunfish 100%.

I have caught them years ago in the Niagara area in a creek. They are common in Lake Erie in some areas.
