Did much better this time around. Seems the fish are scattered after all the rain. Marked many higher up in the column and of course a whole bunch right off bottom. All but one fish came off bottom. Went 6 for 8 in a couple hours' fishing.

Started south of the Manitous in 33ft and that was the best, marked very few fish in 38ft+. Waltonian Reef producing as always, but not as many fish there as I'm used to seeing.

Slowed speed down to 2mph as it seems fish are lethargic and not hitting hard. Believed I missed 2-3 fish at least.

I would have switched to harnesses but didn't bring any (doh!). Hoping to try those tonight.
