Again kayak fished a lake up north in Muskuka area. Landed two whitefish around 2 and a half LB each (good eating size:-). While fighting one of the fish, my PLUEGER President reel broke off! I had to hand bomb the line fighting and "reeling in" the fish!:-)

Shitty your reel broke. I think you can get parts if itís worth it to you.

FYI.
To avoid confusion you should post this on the Northern Lakes page not the Simcoe page even if you listed the lake. Just helps so no one get confused and questions you.

Hey James you have it down to a science....I have been looking at Kayaks for the last three years and will prolly make the plunge soon. When I do I would love to have a outing with you toggle me some pointers on kayak fishing.

A couple of years ago I followed your posts on Milwaukee drills and augers and came up with my own version....crafted with your ideas....I thank you for your knowledge and your continual successful posts on the forum. So many people follow the examples you set.

In regards to your reel....That happened to me last year when a buddy slipped in my boat and came down hard on one of me reels....snapped it in the same place....I used epoxy to fix it and it has held together well....many good sized pike have been brought in on that reel.

Hi there, you are welcome. And yes, once you get your kayak, let's get out and have some fishin' together:-)
