Hey guys if you had the choice, which lake would you rather fish for lake trout.

I have never fished lake Joseph but have heard so many things about their lake trout fishery. (Lots of big lakers and the quality of fish is there)

I have fished lake of bays 3 times during the ice season and the burbot are so easy to catch there at night, I’ve also had some decent Sucess for lake trout as well, but nothing huge.

I have the day off tomorrow and what to know some I
Opinions and advice.

I find lake Joe has a massive quantity of small lakers 1-2 lbs. Amazing fishery for numbers but I am really not sure it’s full of big lakers.

You should be able to get into a whole bunch at Joe.

That’s all I can offer as I don’t fish lake of bays. 👍🏻

Your chance of a big fish or high numbers of small ones is better on Joe. Your chance of an ok number of 2.5-5lb lakers is better on lake of bays.
