Well guys its been sometime since i have been on open water chasing brook trout i hope to make more videos this year if i find the time to get on the water today i got out with my son on our first brook trout trip this open water season it took some time for me to dial them in as this time of year with no bugs and really cold water location and presentation is everything.My son landed one nice fish and i landed 3 we both lost a couple boat side also but we managed to bring home 4 for dinner.

wow - and here I thought that the #2 I am using is real small !! I guess you can't really troll something that small...are you casting that small of a lure or are you using something in addition to it to get it down deeper ??? thanks in advance...ROOK

I was trolling at 1.7mph and no weight the fish were right up top about 5o feet behind boat
I will also say the 2 fish in my profile picture were both 6 lbs and caught with the same EGB trolling at 1.4 to 1.7 mph

Wow. With so little weight it must have been fluttering right on top, or nearly so. Maybe the trout thought it was a struggling insect?
