Just got back from our annual weekend in Algonquin. Weather was fantastic, had a constant breeze and highs of about 20. The bugs weren't bad at all, a little Canadian cologne in the morning kept them away. We had good numbers of Brookies and a couple lakers, one keeper and one in the slot. The brookies were in fast moving shallow water and the lakers were caught on the troll, one on 4 color lead set up the other on dipsey set up, green and gold and orange and copper spoons. All brookies were caught on worms.

Excellent brookie, definitely great weather! A little choppy for me Saturday but can’t complain about no bugs and high temps.

That’s a nice speck! Sounds like a good weekend, you didn’t bushwack up to that little Specky lake this year?

Great first picture. Sunshine, out in the canoe, water rushing by, and fish to top it off.

Thanks Drew, no we decided to try a little more accessible splake lake, but we didn't have any success.
