If you break the law, they will catch you. These guys flew in for a fishing trip. Well that costs a few bucks doesn't it. So these guys were not poor, they have money. They were not starving and needed some food (FISH) to stay alive. Just another good example of GREED!!! I am disgusted at another report like this. At what point does a man say, "I can do whatever I want, and take as many fish as I want." The reason we have regulations today is because there were men like these men that took too many fish decades and decades ago. Fishermen like these, almost ruined it for future generations. Is it intemperance, do all these fishermen that keep so many fish suffer from an addiction. Are they sick, should we feel sorry for them. "NO!" We should not feel sorry for them. It's just selfish greed that's all. If you see something like this, please call it in to the MNR or OPP. If you are like these fishermen that do these things, STOP!!!! Grow up and be a man!! Respect Mother Nature and what she has given to all of us for free! You are not special or entitled! If you break the law, they will catch you!!!!!

The penalties need to be reviewed. For such blatant disregard of the regulations a longer ban would be appropriate.

Agreed. I sincerely hope he is not on this forum. I have had so many good interactions with members of this Fishing Forum that show so much respect and care for the protection of the fish and the outdoors. You anglers set a good example. Keep up the good work, people are reading and watching.

Should be banned for life. This isn't a 'whoops' when you're 1 fish over because you suck at counting. Should have taken his boat/truck and whatever else as well.

Too many people think that it's not such a big deal to break the regulations in some way. Keeping the wrong size fish. Keeping a fish out of season. Fishing in a fish sanctuary disturbing the spawn. ETC.ETC. Or the people that think it is not a big deal to litter and throw their garbage wherever they are. I have heard the expression before..."It's just a cigarette butt." There is an equation I use to measure many factors. Here it is for people breaking the regulations, or littering....... Many people fishing X many people breaking the regulations X the frequency that they are fishing X how long they fish for. This equals way too many fish being kept illegally. And some people say it's no big deal. The same with littering.......Many people out in nature X many of them littering X how often they are out in nature. This equals too much garbage on the ground and too many cigarette butts in our lakes and rivers. I agree the fines and penalties should be more aggressive as to stop people from being idiots. Forget the math equations, just follow the rules and be respectful to the fish and the great outdoors. And set a good example to the next generation of anglers. Don't be like this guy.
