Went for a little after dinner evening adventure on ATVs to fish a lake with some family members - myself and another adult, a teen and a younger kid. Headed out after the rain died down. Fished off shore for about 1.5 hrs and nailed em. Caught a dozen healthy walleye between 1.5 - 4.5 lbs. Threw most back, kept 5, and had a bit of fish fry after the roofing job was done the next evening. Could have stayed and surely caught several more, but we had enough and we headed back home before dark.

Cool to be able to catch them from shore....considerably less hassle.
Congrats on a nice catch!

Cheers,

Wow, that's some great walleye fishing. If you stayed, you probably would have caught 20 or 30. If I may ask, what were you catching them on? I never fish the bottom when I am on the shoreline. In general, I run my crankbaits 2 feet under the surface, and my jigs under a bobber about the same. That's casting out into 8 to 10 feet of water from the bank or a dock.

Yeah, mostly crank baits. They were hitting near shore on the retrieve. Tried drop shotting with a Gulp minnow off the bank but kept getting stuck on a log.
