QUOTE (Backroadsfishing @ Nov 15, 2021 - 07:38 pm)
What were they hitting on?

We were using 1/4 oz Cleo tipped with worm, and a Blue Fox strobe spoon, about the same size, tipped with minnow head. Both gold/hammered finish and orange. I’m not sure the exact lures mattered a whole lot, it seemed to be more the location. They were hitting often and I’m sure almost anything would have had equal results. As they got near the canoe several times I saw another trout following the hooked one in. Just seemed to be all gathered up in one small area of the lake, mostly suspended over 20-35 feet of water. We got hits from near bottom to right near the surface beside the canoe.

Nice shootin' Drew. I think I was out the same day and had similar results right up to and including the moose sighting on the way out.

Also notice all of the splake in your pic appear to be females. The first 10 or so we got were all females too.
