Can anyone comment if there are still folks going out for perch. Is it still ok for travel off Beaverton/Port Bolster on the perch grounds? I imagine there is still a ton of ice. Better with ATV or sled after this past dump of snow?
Thanks, Dave.

Yesterday afternoon I contacted Taj with Casey's at Port Bolster, and was told ice was still good, and people were still ice fishing for perch off that location/area. But he no longer offers taxi/transportation on ice service, though minnow and parking are available at his location (at Casey's).

No worries. We're a few people out. No machines. Id say maybe a dozen, tops. I went with a couple friends and all the kids. Collectively we caught well over 200 perch. Out of that, only maybe a dozen keepers. Kids had a blast.

Lots of ice out there if you can get to it! Walked out from Beaverton in the morning. The shore was solid. By 3 O'clock had to wade through the last 10' because it was pure slush. I would say still 30" of ice on the spots I drilled.

Went out from the soccer fields yesterday. Shore access was not too bad, definitely had to pick your spot to not get stuck with a machine or wet feet walking but where there is a will there is a way.

ice was great, travel easy once you got out there.

fishing was slow, found lots of fish in a few spots but the bite wasn't very aggressive. got some dinks to entertain us, no keepers.
