question, favouite species and presentation

I love top water for excitement and I also like trolling for salmon because of the sheer power fight


Do I have a favourite species, I would say no, but as the seasons change so do my target species


perch and walleye for eats as an example


for the past few years I have been fishing ned rigs and now crush city since these float way better
and recently I got well over 40 bass on one bait before losing it

my go to now in the right conditions is sight fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass......it's quite exciting and requires stealth and patience but really works well when the conditions are right.....as said, lots of patience and focus

when I get lazy and want to explore I just toss on a perch crankbait and slow troll a new area and do relatively well with that presentation.


rods are mostly st. croix and reels are mostly shimano using either straight p line flouroclear or braid with a floro leader

YUP..MY FAVORITE IS OF COURSE THE STEELHEAD...LOL...OF THE MANY WAYS I FISH THESE SILVER TORPEDOS MY ALL TIME FAVE IS SIGHT FISHING THEM THROUGH THE ICE IN CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER.. NOTHING BEATS HAVING THEM COME IN UNDER YOUR FEET MAYBE DOWN 3 TO 10 FT AND EITHER CIRCLE AND INSPECT AND JUST MAYBE HIT YOUR BAIT OR JUST SWIM AWAY...GO TO BAITS..SPAWN BAGS, EGBS, CLEOS AND SOME TIMES SHRIMP..ALL IN SMALL SIZES,,TACKLE.. 30 " GRAPHITE ROD, MY OLD CARDINAL REELS 8LB XL WITH A 4-6 LB FLOR LEADER..MOST TIMES NO WEIGHT JUST SMALL HOOKS ....

VERY EXCITING WHEN ONE CRUISES IN...SURE GETS THE OLD HEART PUMPING...HANG ON !!
