Hmmm...if only I could be fishing up where you are...so many places to fish I wouldn't even know where to start lol

Cook's bay should be good to go when you make your trip down here.

I was thinking the same: If I were in Sault Ste Marie area where there must be tons of lakes with ice at least 3 feet thick, there would be no way I'd want to come down to Cook's Bay for the bare ice, if there is any ice at all:-)

Coming from the Sault? Where there's a fraction of the day to day pressure? To fish the most populated lake in the province? And to target perch?

Wanna trade houses for the weekend? LOL.

Just kidding.. Doesn't make sense, but just kidding.. we welcome anybody and everybody.. literally!

Hope you have a great, safe, and successful trip! Let us know how you make out.

Even if you own a Ferrari, you always wonder about that tricked out Honda ( Simcoe being the Honda in this case) lmao.

From what Iíve heard thereís guys getting decent pike on cooks currently. Reports Iíve heard Any where from 4-6Ē. We got a cold snap now with some ice making weather. No ice is safe ice and the end of the day!

You're right stubbs. It's all good. Just playing around.

We all make trips and do things that others may not understand, at the end of the day it's nobody's business to judge.

Personally, I was just joking around, as I'm sure others were too... no ill intent from any board member, we're all just jealous cwf has oodles of ice and we don't.

I fished Cooks Bay last Sunday. There was 8 inches of ice where I was. Keswick side. With a couple of weeks until you come down, there should be plenty of ice

Always try to make a trip for perch each winter, our perching up here is minimal compared to simcoe, it our big perch fish for our entire year basically but yes the other fishing opportunities are pretty amazing

Yeah I hear ya never any ill intent felt lol just had to say something

I've done some weird trips like this myself - like leaving lake st clair for a weekend to fish for smallmouth in the grand river bass derby....

World class smallies in st clair lol

But to each their own

Im looking forward to my own trip up there this season - Mar 1st - but I might plan on early february as well, not sure I will ever get ice down here to fish on lol
