Hey Quigles 716, we have 2- 6 man huts rented then. We will hopefully venture outside to fish on Friday as it seems like it will be the warmest day. Hopefully the fishing good!

Sounds great! We tend to always venture out during the dead time of day. Thatís usually when our arms are raising beers not poles 😂

Hey all,

I promised a fish report so here it is! Sounds like the fishing was a little slow leading up to our arrival on Friday (11th) so some of the huts were moved around by Steve. Credit to him, he does his best to put his guests on the fish.

Started Friday afternoon around 3pm and were marking a good few fish, but only managed to get 4-5 walleye and a couple perch. They were hitting on the dead stick (yellow jig head) more than my jigging rap! Maybe that says more about my skills...

Saturday, we started around 7 and caught a good bite by 10am. We landed 10-12 walleye, a bass, and a few more perch. Biggest walleye was 17 inches. Again, hitting 50% the dead stick and 50% what I was jigging (lipless rattler and jigging rap)

I heard one of the other South River cabins landed a couple nice keepers.

Unfortunately, it was a little too cold for us to venture outside, though people were braving the weather. We kept warm and well lubricated indoors.

This morning was dead dead. Marked a few, but couldn't entice any biting.

All and all, it was not our most productive trip, but a blast as always. Ended up with 15 or so Walleye, a few perch and a bass. Thanks to Steve and co for another great trip.
