Heading up to the Waltonian this Sunday until the 14th. Has anyone been lately, hows the bite been? There will be a group of 8 of us up, looking forward to it. Never had much success on Nippising but we've always had a great time. Ill be sure to post the results of our trip.

I would like to target whitefish while on this trip. I know the keeper walleye are tough to come by, so I would prefer to target whitefish seeing as I have never caught one before. Any tips on targeting whities would be appreciated. I would be more happy to get into some pike and ling as well.

Good luck Chaz. As far as white fish, I've only ever seen one caught on Nipissing so I have no advice. Hopefully you boys get into some fish, probably some beverages also I'm sure.

Thanks Chevy. I had a nice whitie right in the hole 2 years ago but lost it, got too excited and tried to pull it through and pulled the hook right out of the lip. First and last time Ive seen one.

ChazD, we will be up on the 12th-15th in a bungalow, we will be staying with Snowfari, we will be fishing in the bungalow and out in a few day huts as well, if we happen to find something that is working i will gladly share.
Hope the bite picks up as the weather stabilizes a bit.
Cheers
Chet

We did good last year with the glow shots for pike and ling. Ling seem to come around more after dark so keep your lines in. I hear tip ups work well for whities, i was told to watch for the tip up to rise up instead of down when it is a whitie as thier mouths are on the bottom and they tend to suck the minnow up.
