Was going to come down highway 69 today but opted for highway 11 - there is also a big fire on the Key River at Highway 69 - the north is so dry - the week we were away - no fires even for cooking

We need more RAIN to stop and control those fires. Not good.

I asked the owner of Memquisit resort on the West Arm of the French if there was any effect on his lodge thus far. He said that there was no effect on him, but they were told by the Ministry to pay close attention as this thing just keeps growing. I have a reservation there for the end of this month.
Apparently, the leading edge is now very close to the Trans-Canada and with the winds up right now the forecast for the next day or two don't look good.
