Well it was a Happy Canada Day as the walleye and bass were hungry. I took my youngest daughter out fishing in the afternoon July 1. Fished from about 2:30 to 4:30. 2 nice smallies and 7 walleye. Went back out after dinner and caught another 2 walleye. Saturday and Sunday were slow. Only 1 more walleye. The lake was very rough and lots of boat traffic Saturday and Sunday and i believe this had a lot to do with the fish being turned off and likely forced deep. There was also a tournament Saturday and from what i understand was a tough go not to mention battling the waves. Decided to go for Bluegill Sunday afternoon and caught about 30 big Palm sized Bluegill and kept a few to fillet. Bio leeches, minnows and worms on jig heads did the trick.

That's a great fishing report. I was wondering how that lake is doing lately.
