I went out from the Port Perry launch today and there's about 5 inches of decent ice. No major cracks, either, at least none that I found. I only went for a couple of hours late morning, just to make sure my gear was in good working order. There was a group of two fishing there as well, but I didn't even get a sniff of fish. If I had minnows I would have stayed longer. Going out again this weekend, hopefully with better luck. At least my gear was fine, other than I spilled gulp waxie liquid on half my stuff. Yuck!

Went out from Caesarea yesterday. Ice was 7 to 8 inches, with 3 to 4 inches crappy ice on top. Walking was good, but fishing was extremely slow. Had a good chat with a local gent and got some advice about parking. Had a very nice sunny day on ice.
