Looking for any recent ice reports for lakes around Kinmount. Any info appreciated, looking to head up to the cottage to try for some late season hardwater fishing in the next 2 weeks. Not ready for the end of ice season…

I was just south of Kinmount at Pigeon Lake and I drilled a few holes and the ice was solid. It was about 18 inches thick...and this was just a couple of days ago.

How is the snow cover? Has it tightened up on the surface of the lakes?

Any updates on ice conditions? Anyone been out or seen any activity on any lakes in the Kawarthas?

Lakes still have ice, not save ice and the rivers are flowing good, lots of water moving
Land is a safe place right now

For open water you can fish the stocked browns on the local rivers east of kinmount and to the north. Or drive 45 min north or farther for “last” ice this weekend. They are small browns but fun if you can find them…. Don’t fall in!
