Moved into shallows or where are the big girls hanging out.
Will be up next couple weekends and never targeted them in fall only opener.

Thanks
Scott

I've fished fall pike a fair bit (not on L Joe though).

Check the condition of the weeds. If they're still green, deeper weeds adjacent to deeper water. If the weeds are no good and the shallower water seems void of life, trolling larger cranks over deeper structure.

I've caught them trolling big baits about 25 feet behind the boat in 25 plus feet of water.
They are roaming about chasing bait.

Also sitting on rocky points waiting to ambush something

Thanks guys. Will try and let you know. I'll be up this weekend for one last crack at Lakers and then couple weekends after for Pike.

We did well in Bisco last week just off the dock. Don't know if they were hanging around because the 20 dozen minnows we had in buckets were attracting them or what, but they loved the big minnows.

How did you do?

I was fishing muskie in the same latitude on Friday and the weeds were the ticket (didn't land any though, lol), the cabbage was somewhat green and the millfoil was still mint
