just back from north of sudbury for 3 days of fishing . out on the lake thursday morning we could see the smoke coming at us over the trees in the distance . soon we could smell fire and the smoke rolled over us onto the lake . the temagami area fires were quite far from us but the wind carried the smoke and blanketed the area around sudbury till the wind shifted the other direction . good trip caught many bass pike and the walleye were also biting on the troll.great to be back up where we grew up hope everyone in the fire areas are safe we also had the mnr helicopter buzz the camp a couple times. i think they were looking for camps with illegal fires burning as there is a total fire ban in the area.

Thanks for the report and pics..
It could have been the fires burning South of Temagami as there are a few South of there..
Thanks again.

I feel like you were out in the boat singing "smoke on the water, fire in the sky...."

Nice looking fillets. 👍

Looks like you had a great trip and from the looks of the picture you don’t seem to be having a problem with the pesky bugs after dark and that’s always a plus in my book

hey sparky nothing wrong with dinner ready when you get there , just kidding hope you got the rain we recieved last couple of days fires are nothing to joke about . when we were in high school the lands and forests department used to pull us off the street to fight fires only got caught once it was no fun. might be the only time i wished i was in school.
