Very nice video and you had a fantastic day out on the ice with your dad. I agree there is no need to apologize for keeping fish that you legally caught under your fishing license rules. I do the same here in Michigan. When they are biting, I try to keep my limit and they are not all being eaten in one day. And if frozen properly, they are great to eat in a few weeks when we go out there and get skunked.

If you freeze them in water and take the air out of the bag I've had perch that tasted great up to 6 MONTHS later.



I do this because I rarely fish perch so in winter I get my limit and eat it throughout the summer while I fish for crappies and walleyes etc

When perch are fussy and pretty much in most situations I just tie the tungsten jig directly to the line without any swivels. Inline reel helps minimize the line twist.

completely agree, normally, I cut off the barbs and the hookpoint, just havent gotten around to it yet lol. definitely should get on that...
