Just read this story. The Credit River was once my home river and many good times were spent fishing along it's bank. It is sad to read about the degradation of the river due to the increase of urbanization in the region. Speechless...

A tenant of an industrial property I was managing whom I evicted needed up leaving a large square plastic bin inside a wire cage that was full of oil on the property. You would not believe the red tape I went through to get it properly removed. I had to register to some environmental agency and after almost a month someone finally came and removed the bin. For the next several yrs I was constantly hassled by this agency asking me to report how much waste I had, if I was dumping it into drains etc. My company never dealt with such products but we weRe on someone’s radar because I tried to do the right thing and properly dispose of this oil. The gvmt made it so difficult to deal with that I can see why people don’t want to deal with them. This said I don’t condone anyone harming the environment for any reason.

Wow so sorry to hear this as said above the Credit River was also my home fishing spot.....At 9 years old you would see my father drop me off at 7am almost every day to fish the banks of the Credit, a lunch and my gear in hand. He would pick me up at about 5pm. That was back in 1958. Some of my fondest fishing memories are there.
