Went out of Port Credit last week - got skunked. Marked lots of fish and baitfish at 25 ft, 40-100 fow...threw everything at 'em but no takers. I'm guessing they were Steel and maybe Coho? But they were real finicky.

Just wanting to if anyone can offer some advice for this time of year. is still out there trolling, and anyone getting action?

Thanks in advance

Made the decision today to put mine away, so I took all the gear our and put it down the basement.

I'll winterize it next week and take the battery out.

I have an oversize garage, so once the boat is winterized, I can turn it crossways at the back of the garage and I can start putting my SUV in the garage again.

I might go out one last time and freeze my balls off this weekend ......or maybe not.
Need to run the stabilizer through though.

Hey Steve

This is when the noodle rod comes out and I do some shore fishing on some rivers.

Donít ever put your boat away IMO. Run stabilizer all year with every tank and do your lower end oil now. Then keep using it.

Why stabilizer all year. Itís the best insurance ever for your motor. It helps stop ethanol from separating from fuel which ethanol creates water when it separates. Also phase break down of fuel happen within weeks of filling your boat. Phase break down you loose octane and varnishes stick to valves, carbs, clogs fuel injectors and other international parts. On sale one bottle of 1 litre of stabilizer lasts me all year for about $10.00 (about 10 tanks of fuel 120 litre tank). Itís a no brainier IMO.

Longshank...I'm in Georgetown, and usually launch out of port credit. Weather and wave forecast look very enticing this weekend. I know you are extremely knowledgeable. Any advice would be appreciated. I usually pull spoons that work in the summer, cuz that's all I know...ain't working now tho.

Day like today makes me regret I took all the gear out of the boat last week and today was the "service" day.

Changed the oil in the bottom end, greased the prop splines, changed the oil and filter, new gas filter, minimum amount of gas in the tank and "seafoam" added, greased all fittings, removed spark plugs, cleaned, checked the gap, shot some oil into the cylinders and plugs back in finger tight.

Battery out tomorrow, then vacuum and tidy up.

It's already across the back of the garage and my SUV can now go in the garage instead of sitting in the driveway.

Always remember November 11, 2008. Had launched the boat into the Notty on a day like today. sunny, warm no wind.

Went out into the lake just off the mouth in about 7-8ft of water and started casting a blue/silver Little Cleo. Within an hour I had my 2 rainbow, 8lbs each.

That was a good day.

Hey...I really cant comment for the other side, but if I was going out here and I may well be from Sunday to Tuesday, I would check water oulows first.so fairly shallow and warmer water and run some body baits as well as spoons knock the speed down as well

If I see non active fish, then I will pack up and head out to 300 fow where temps are more stable and start searching

Whatever happens, if the forecast holds up it's gonna be fun
